Food

I will give credit to a friend for her awesome recipe which I have been obsessing about!

I like to call these, Honey Nutty Oat Bars. Forget those protein shakes and start off with real protein.. It actually tastes good and offers more protein then you will ever need. I have tweaked the recipe a little because that's what I do, I never follow a recipe. I like to change things up a little to explore new combinations.

Here we have a blend of all sorts of nuts such as peanut butter, almonds, walnuts, pistachios, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds with a blend of dried fruits from dried dates to apricots and dried blueberries, to whatever you wish! Add oats, chia seeds, flax and honey and/or maple syrup to give it a sweet natural flavour.

First add the oil, peanut butter and honey. You can then add in all your mix-ins. Using a food processor is probably the easiest way, but you can still do this the old fashion way and mix it yourself.

The honey and oil help the ingredients to stick together to form the oat bar. You can add less oil and honey if you have less ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 min.
